  1. Dr. Simon, I am not a good singer, and yet I love to sing. It is an emotional release. Singing in church works well, because my (not great) voice just blends in with everyone else :)

    I do have what might be a little tip for you. When my kids were little, I bought them small harps called music maker lap harps. It was “for them,” but I found myself drawn to playing those little harps myself. They are a cinch to play. The music fits under the strings, and they sound beautiful. It’s very relaxing and uplifting to play this little instrument, and no musical training is required.
