  1. “The ban on women in the military serving in combat positions should have been lifted long ago. The fact that it wasn’t says more about the military leadership and our cultural values than it does about the abilities of female military personnel.”

    If I could give you a standing ovation for that line alone, I would! In a nutshell, that sums up our history, our society and our military.
