I, too, appreciate Glee’s casual way of including diversity in their storylines. While the plots may be very heavy-handed and the characterizations inconsistent, there’s something comforting about a TV show being able to populate its world with colorful/different characters (some with controversial lifestyles) and still remain popular.
May we always be able to judge a TV show on its writing and/or acting without complaining of a homogenized world. That would be progress!
