  1. It’s interesting. Reviews i’ve know read from the UK say the movie was below standard. Those in the US loved it. Maybe the UK folk know better? I, too, would have focused on ALL of Thatcher. The public only ever hears of how hard or harsh she was. She may have had a tough exterior, probably necessary in a male dominated profession, but this lady had to be more than that. She was a mother and wife. Can one assume this eventuated because she has some redeeming factors?? I’d say so. It’s a shame that the ‘powers that be’ who made this movie did not share the same opinion. Meryl looks so much like Thatcher it’s strange. Makeup and costume, of course, contribute. However, awards aside, the material she had to work with could have been a lot better. It’s a shame to have a movie about a life confined to mere aspects, rather than the entire story. That’s HollyWEIRD i guess! The truth is not always the best storyteller. Sometimes, fiction sounds a lot better when trying to find the best partner to ticket sales.
