Commonly dubbed ‘perversions’ or ‘sexual deviations’, paraphilia describes a condition in which a person’s sexual arousal and gratification depend on fantasies, urges or behaviours that are atypical and extreme. Most paraphilias are reportedly more common in men than in women.

Exhibitionism is a paraphilia, or a disorder of sexual arousal. Exhibitionism is characterized by intense, recurrent and sexually arousing fantasies involving the exposure of the individual’s genitals.
Fetishism is a paraphilia, or a disorder of sexual arousal. Fetishism is characterized by the use of an inanimate object or a specific part of the body for physical or mental sexual stimulation.
Voyeurism is a paraphilia, or a disorder of sexual arousal. Voyeurism involves the act of observing unsuspecting individuals, usually strangers, who may be naked or in the process of disrobing.
