Welcoming Dr Sarah Walker to the Team

Dr Sarah Walker

All of us on the team would like to offer a big thanks and welcome to Dr Sarah Walker, who joins us for the Ask the Psychologist column.

Dr Walker had already published her first reply for Ask the Psychologist back in September when we last welcomed new contributors to the team (see “Welcoming Drs Clarke, Hook and Ritchie-Goodline to Our Team”), so I feel like this is another overdue welcome, but better late than never! As I mentioned in that previous article, we had quite an adventure dealing with the massive response the last time we put out a call for new contributors, and I’m glad to say that things have now settled down, with the Ask the Psychologist team stronger than ever.

Dr Sarah Walker is a Licensed Psychologist in private practice in Austin, Texas and she teaches at St. Edward’s University in their Master’s in Counseling (MAC) program. She has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA and PhD from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed her clinical internship at The University of Illinois at Chicago and her post-doc at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr Walker’s research publications focus on gender dynamics and sexuality, sexual coercion and abuse.

You can read more about her over at Ask the Psychologist, find out more about her psychotherapy practice at www.drsarahwalker.com, or read Dr Walker’s replies here at CounsellingResource.com.

Thank you for joining us, Sarah, and welcome to the team!
