All of us at CounsellingResource.com would like to extend a warm welcome to psychologist and character disorder expert Dr George Simon, who joins our International Advisory Board. We look forward to incorporating Dr Simon’s perspective and feedback as we continue building and developing the site.

About Dr Simon

Dr Simon received his PhD in clinical psychology from Texas Tech University. He has spent much of the last 25 years gathering information about, and working with manipulators, other disturbed characters and their victims. His book, In Sheep’s Clothing: Understanding and Dealing with Manipulative People, has been a five-star rated bestseller for nearly 13 years, is published in several foreign languages, and is regarded by many as the definitive work on manipulative characters. He is currently retired from active practice and spends much of his time writing, giving instructional seminars, and composing.

About Our International Advisory Board

When this site was launched in 2002, it was very much a one-person project. But over the years, CounsellingResource.com has grown rapidly, and by 2006 it became apparent that it had developed well beyond what one or two people could reasonably manage. In 2007, we began the transition to a broader production team, and the site is now the work of an international team of mental health professionals and web technology experts, including both volunteers and paid employees and consultants. Our International Advisory Board helps us maintain the high standards of quality you’ve come to expect from us, and many members of the Board are also regular contributors. (Just click the ‘About Us‘ link for more details.)

Welcome aboard, Dr Simon — we’re very glad to have you on our team!
