One year, April 14 this my knowledge of midlife. Jung, called the afternoon of live, others call it the dangerous time, for me the pay back time. Today's goal, to understand or learn or hold on to this pain having a wife in the mist of her transition. If I divorce her now do I rob myself of discovery that she is lost, searching, in pain, or will she at last be freed to truly make a human of existence for herself. She is no help, she is secretive to the point of childlessness. I'm always wrong and she has no regrets, a crack head mentallity.

The mid-life crisis I think can be quite real (though having any inconvenience or misfortune this way doesn't help).

I think it is usually both a good opportunity to realise our mortality (it provides focus: A hanging concentrates the mind wonderfully - Samuel Johnson) and deal with unresolved childhood issues.

I think dealing with these can lead to us being more compassionate and flexible.

I hope lots of people dig deep when they hit the wall (and even when they come up against less significant blockages).
