Screening Tests and Quizzes

Whether just for fun or for more serious clinical screening purposes, psychological tests and quizzes can provide independent and objective feedback about how you’re feeling. Our new section includes self-tests for depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and more. You can even test yourself for ‘internet addiction’ if you really want to! The new section also provides some information about the serious side of psychological screening, including US government guidance on depression screening.

Our new section of psychological screening tests is designed to be fun and educational, and they may help increase your awareness of particular experiences or of particular forms of psychological distress. They are not by themselves tools for diagnosing any type of health or mental health condition.

All our quizzes are guaranteed to be scored by your own web browser (using javascript): your answers are never transmitted to our server. As far as I’m aware, this is the only mental health site on the internet that can make you this privacy guarantee.

The new section currently includes 5 different screening tests for depression, 1 covering depression and anxiety, 1 for ADHD, 2 covering bipolar disorder and mania, 3 for alcohol and drug use, 1 for dissociative identity disorder, 3 covering so-called ‘internet addiction’ (one each from the standpoint of the individual, parents, and partner), and 1 about physical symptoms.
