As far as I can tell, the political climate in the UK is crystallising even more around the self-assured pronouncements by our leaders that &quot;these terrorist acts cannot be rationalised&quot;, and that &quot;these people have no agenda but fanaticism, and there&#039;s no reasoning with that&quot;. I&#039;m not sure quite how it is that so many people who argue so strongly that no one should ever communicate with terrorists have come to be in posession of such intimate knowledge of the beliefs, ideals, and thoughts of those very terrorists...
