I got into the Xanga pro-ana phenomenon to try and encourage friends to make healthier choices. And sometimes it actually worked.

But then I got way too into it, and now I’ve got a site exactly like the ones I was once disgusted and horrified by.

Dear Amber. I feel bad for you for having anybody say anything negative about your illness. Having the illness is bad enough, having to listen to others’ negative comments is a crime.

I hope that you are getting therapy and look into orthomolecular therapy, vitamins, minerals, and different levels of those in your body that need supplements. Pfieffer Cilinc In Chicago is one, but if you look at our website, http:stopcallingusmentallyill.org under orthomolecular treatments, you will learn more.
you don’t have tokeep suffering and you illness is dangerous if it’s untreated. Remember you did not chose to be Anarexic.

    Best wishes, Ayala Karsh

I am a member of Xanga. I have ED-NOS. I don’t give tips, I don’t ask for tips. Most girls who are anorexic suffer from problems deeper and don’t want to just be skinny, some do and think it’s just a fad. I don’t. I never wanted to get anorexic to lose weight and be skinny. It was a reaction to an event somewhere along the line in my life. I am considered a hypocrite, I hate hypocrites, but when it comes to eating disorders, I do not support helping others become apart of it. That is just how I am.

Hi I just wanted to say that I liked your article. You didnt bash anyone while expressing your views, unlike others. I am pro ana and as being so I know all the dangers of what it can do, but I am willing to take the chance.

our generation was raised with everything. with the advent of the computer/internet, and mommy and daddy providing everything, we’ve officially become oversaturated, and part of the ‘big machine’. we’re all looking for something, and the only thing that we’re finding is nothing. more and more, I see people looking for nothing. girls wanting to waste away to nothing, empty eyes in the boys from the meth, scene boys all dressing the same, being sickly skinny.

we want to be a part of something.

but in that, is a danger, for ‘everything has been done’– the teens of today have nothing to call their own. so we find solace in doing ‘nothing’.

I wear the black string (the eating disorder pride bracelet) and I support myself. I love being skinny and don’t stop me until i’m good and done. I am anorexic. I am proud. I am happy!!

To all of the smart ass girls who make fun of the girls saying they want to lose weight… Shut the hell up. Don’t even tell me you never said you wanted to lose weight at one time or another. The simple truth is, most teenage girls are unhappy with the way they look because of what they see on TV or in magazines. I’m not saying this is normal, but that is just the way it is, and how it continues to be.

To all the girls who want to become anorexic (or bulimic) Why?—-why do you want to do that to yourselves? your family? why do you want to mess up your lives? I used to want to do this too. I know where you’re coming from. But you have to know what you’re getting yourself into, which is why all these girls are telling their stories.

Honestly, i know that you hate hearing it, but it’s the diet and excersise that will help you. You don’t have to excersise a lot to lose weight. I’m saying like a 15 minute run, 30 minute walk. And simply, to lose weight eat less. If you eat 500 calories less a day for a week, you’ll lose 1 lb. It doesn’t seem like much, but if you do this for a year, you’ve lost 52 lbs. Which isn’t bad. If you don’t want to do that, try the south beach diet. THe book is seriously like 10$, and it’s way to make yourself healthier, and lose weight also. In the first 2 weeks, you can lose up to 13 pounds.

Please read what i just said, i know it’s like a novel, but please.. take it into consideration.

if you want to know more, leave me your e-mail addresses and let me know what you would like to know.
