A:

You are in a very stressful situation. I’d first contact your physician and discuss your depression. If you don’t have a physician yet, I’d try to see a OB doctor as soon as possible. Having suicidal thoughts by themselves will not harm the baby but depression also has a loss of appetite and other physical symptoms that may give your pregnancy a difficult time. You can receive treatment for depression during your pregnancy.

You may also want to see a counselor if one is available. I don’t know where you live but your country may have laws that make the father of the child pay financial support. You will need to see what help is available in your area.
